Trex

This project was part of a massive replatforming to modernize the backend of Trex.com—but why not throw in a redesign as well? Moving this leader in the composite decking industry from an outdated, inconsistent, page-by-page design to a clean, modern design system was quite an undertaking on this large brand site with multiple agency partners.

We tackled this project with a phased approach—with more phases are still to come, including a full ecommerce integration. After an extensive discovery and research phase, we moved into an initial design phase as part of the replatforming that maintained some of the spirit of the previous site; from there, we continued (and still continue) to push forward towards a beautiful, responsive, accessible, and user-friendly hub for all things Trex.
